Founder's Message
“We are committed to developing indigenous tools that empower our youth to unlock their potential, build leadership, and master problem-solving skills essential for shaping a brighter tomorrow.”

Welcome to MILLS™ Skills, where we are dedicated to empowering the youth of today and nurturing their leadership potential for tomorrow. As the founder of this social enterprise, I have always believed that education should be a journey of self-discovery, enabling students to unlock their full potential. Having served in various capacities, from a war veteran to the Vice Chancellor at the University of the Punjab, I have always worked towards transformative leadership and sustainable growth.
In my tenure at the University, I spearheaded initiatives that brought technological advancements and capacity building to the forefront, which have left a lasting impact on thousands of students. At MILLS Skills, we aim to continue this legacy by fostering a learning environment where school children, university students, and faculty can explore and develop the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
I am particularly passionate about integrating Dr. Allama Iqbal’s profound work into the school curriculum to inspire students not just in academics, but also in cultivating their own social and cultural consciousness. As we focus on co-curricular innovation through initiatives like campus internships, problem-solving, and experiential learning, MILLS Skills stands at the forefront of creating a new wave of leaders equipped with the cognitive and behavioral tools they need to succeed.
We invite you to join us in this exciting journey of learning, growth, and self-discovery.

“At MILLS™ Skills, we are committed to empowering students with the tools to discover their potential, build leadership, and become righteous problem solvers, guided by the principles of Tarbiyah.” — Omayer Arshad, Co-Founder

At MILLS™ Skills, we believe in the transformative power of education. As the co-founder, I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where students not only excel academically but also develop the leadership, problem-solving, and life skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
With over 20 years of experience in diverse leadership roles across industries, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that comprehensive, skills-focused learning can have on individuals and organizations. This belief drives our mission at MILLS™ to offer innovative co-curricular programs designed to empower students to discover their potential, connect with their communities, and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.
We are particularly passionate about the Tarbiyah Curriculum—a holistic educational approach that supplements traditional learning with nurturing guidance to develop whole humans (kāmil Insān). By incorporating the essence of the Qur’ān and Sunnah into modern education, we aim to cultivate not only self-consciousness and social-consciousness but also God-consciousness, preparing students to become righteous problem solvers and compassionate leaders.
Through initiatives like the Young Leaders Program and various upskilling workshops, MILLS™ provides students with the tools to develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and leadership capabilities that will serve them for years to come.

Our Context
Pakistan is the 6th most populous Country of the World. Being an under-developed country Pakistan’s human development index is one of the lowest, driven primarily by our education system and our population’s ability to access it. Human development is linked to evaluation of current capacities and capabilities, and helping construct them, so as to produce economically productive and socially responsive citizens.
Since independence there has been no intellectual thought to improve the quality and standard of education in Pakistan. Students are mostly confused about the choice of their subjects and career, due to lack of informed guidance by their parents, teachers and advice by their peers. A large number of students enter into various courses, without proper guidance/counseling and having no aptitude or potential for the said job and fail to do justice with their choices. Consequently, we suffer from wastage of our best brains, time and money.
Within our current education system, which is accessible only to a small percentage of our growing young population pool, there is no framework that allows parents, academicians or public policy makers to estimate true and/or innate abilities, potential or aptitude of a student body. There is no formal assessment and evaluation tool available at primary or secondary level, which help connect abilities or potential with future job opportunities or career options. In the absence of such framework or assessment tools, our school/early college student is directionless, causing misfit between their innate talent/abilities/aptitudes and career choices.
A few Colleges and a large number of Universities have placement offices that kick in after post-graduate studies, primarily during internship season. A longer term marriage between a student’s innate abilities, aptitude and potential is non-existent causing more frustration than ever due to increasing pool of subject / career choices and reduced jobs available in the job market. This fact coupled with multiple sources of information due to increased communication has brought more confusion than clarity.
Unlike in the past, when the choices for career were quite limited, today we live in an era, where there are many good choices available. The careers have also become very demanding and therefore, one should choose their field with greater care!

Our Belief
MILLS logo symbolizes enlightened growth and empowerment. Enlightened growth is represented by ‘light bulb’ shape. Blue color represents ‘blue sky’, usually associated with limitless possibilities or as they say ‘sky is the limit’. Two borders represent our influencing groups that either limit our options or help us move beyond our perceived limitations. Growth (which in this case are our future possibilities) is represented by the ‘tree trunk’. Each tree trunk is unique like our finger-prints and represents our conditioning, potentials abilities and aptitudes.

Our Vision
“Empowering our Youth in making The Right Subject and Career Choices.”

Our Mission
Our mission is driven by our commitment to Pakistani youth, who deserve to be empowered with the right assessment and counseling tools. MILLS ™ mission has four components:
- To empower Students or Pupils between ages 14 to 23 years through assessment of their intelligence capacity, leadership skills and depth of aptitudes through an experiential learning experience

- To provide comprehensive tools unique to Pakistani youth to ensure connecting appropriate data/information nodes critical to decision-making process.
Deliver detailed report through a structured counseling approach, which will help each Pupil and their ‘influencers’ connect their profile with possible subjects or career choices.

Our Promise
Through MILLS™ diverse and in-depth research of Pakistan’s young Student population, we promise to:
- Provide structured and objective evaluation of young Student’s intelligence, leadership and aptitude profile through a comprehensive and reliable assessment and counseling framework.

Four Ps
In the absence of structured tools or frameworks to assess and evaluate a Pupil’s abilities, aptitude and potential, our influencer group plays a critical role in selection of subjects or career choices. This influencer group is different for each Pupil, however mostly revolves around their Parents or Siblings, Peers, Professors or in very few cases the Pupil themselves. Irrespective of choice of influencers, it is essential and critical for each participant to know that every Pupil has specific and unique intelligences, abilities and aptitudes that are either innate or developed as a result of their conditioning over the years. These abilities include power to think, hear, see and understand or simply put: ‘their Learning Mechanism’.
It is, therefore, result-critical to guide each Pupil in the right direction through a structured and result-oriented process, and not through an emotional and subjective analysis or synthesis. Success in any field, however, depends on possessing the appropriate set of basic abilities. But mostly people follow what parents, friends or teachers without knowing their peculiar talents and the result is frustration and unplanned move from school to college resulting into faulty professional qualification. Hence, choosing one’s subject or making a career decision is perhaps one of the most important decisions that a student and his/her parents take.
Parents
Parents play an important role in this part of the work in the decision making process for selecting subjects for college or careers for future.
Peers
Peers are usually either indirectly influencing the decision making process for selection of subjects or directly impacting it.
Professors
Although most of the professors do not play an active role in a Pupil’s decision making process, however if involved through an objective assessment and evaluation tool, their feedback could be critical to the outcome.
Pupil
We know more about ourselves than anyone else does. However our blind spots usually keep us from a complete analysis and/or synthesis of our profile and its fit with subjects or careers.
